Maze
MAZE Voices is a vocal group with twenty-two talented singers from all across the Netherlands. Under the direction of award-winning conductor Merel Martens, MAZE blends original compositions with striking reimaginations of existing songs. Creativity and improvisation are at the heart of the group, with members actively contributing to the artistic process.
Rooted in the principles of Vocal Leadership, MAZE is known for its innovative approach to a cappella music. Their distinctive style, combined with a strong musical identity, makes them a standout act in the vocal music scene.
MAZE Voices performs at around thirty concerts and events per year, both in the Netherlands and internationally. The group regularly features in national and international media and has participated in the Dutch tv shows Zing! (2024) and We Want More (2022).
The group works with wireless microphones and in-ears. This enables the group to enrich their performance with unique theatrical stagings to enhance their storytelling and embrace the audience. With an outside-the-box mindset, MAZE consistently delivers exciting performances that are as visually captivating as they are musically stunning. Get ready to be
a-MAZE-ed — because getting lost in music has never been more exciting.
VoXes
VoXes is one of the few Italian choirs singing contemporary acappella music. Born in 2005 in Fondazione Fossano Musica, the group performs without musical instruments or music arrangement: all you ear is made with their voices only.
The repertoire ranges from Italian music to international music, of yesterday and today: from Elisa to Francesco De Gregori, from Michael Jackson to George Michael, from Madonna to Fabrizio De Andrè, from Maroon 5 to Zucchero.
Composed by 20 members, the choir is directed by M° Lorenzo Subrizi.
In 2017, the VoXes has published “Dieci”, an album that leads the listener in an intense voyage into the Italian music.
The VoXes choir performed not only in Piedmont and in the north of Italy, but also in Austria, Germany, France and Denmark. During the summer of 2011, the choir took part to the coral competition “Solevoci”, winning the award for the most interesting music program and, in 2014, the choir obtained the “Golden Diploma level II” and the first prize in the “Pop, Jazz, Spiritual, Gospel” category at the International Chorwettbewerb & Festival of Bad Ischl, Austria.
It’s from the work done by the VoXes with Tobias Hug (former member of Swingle Singers) that the idea of creating the Vocalmente festival was born in Fondazione Fossano Musica in 2014.
